Themes and Sidebar

The Claude theme and responsive sidebar were introduced in rc.2-r10. Their contrast and keyboard-accessibility corrections are available from rc.2-r11, with later navigation fixes qualified below. Other owners can run older releases; see Releases.

System, Light, and Dark

The native System / Light / Dark selection remains authoritative. The default-enabled native ModuleLoader plugin @deek/claude-theme supplies the Claude-style palette through the host’s semantic theme aliases; it does not replace the native theme selector or force a separate theme preference.

System follows the system’s appearance; choose Light or Dark for an explicit preference. Settings cards use overlay paper for legible labels and Custom badges in both themes. The native blue Send action remains an intentional accent, and the Settings navigation selection retains its native grey.

Session navigation

The phone drawer leaves a 48 px scrim: its outer width is 342 px at a 390 px viewport and 272 px at 320 px, including its border. Session groups use calendar-based headings; the footer stays pinned. Controls have 44 px targets.

Use the existing sidebar toggle to open or collapse navigation. Outside backdrop and Esc close the phone drawer through the native modal stack. Closing via Esc/backdrop returns focus to the persistent toggle; navigation from rc.2-r13-g2 closes the drawer while retaining valid destination focus; resizing across the desktop breakpoint is not itself a focus-return action.

From rc.2-r11, session tree rows participate in Tab navigation. Enter on a row opens it; Enter on its More button opens the native menu; Esc returns focus. Keyboard focus reveals More without reducing the title’s available width. Native Tab/Esc behavior is retained rather than replaced by a separate keyboard system.

Folder, search, and active-View focus

Folder rows, search results and Gallery/Studio views are keyboard-operable from rc.2-r14. Folder/search keyboard paths first arrived in rc.2-r12: Tab to a folder, use Enter/Space to expand or collapse, arrows and Home/End to navigate, or focus More for its menu. In search, Down/Up selects results while focus stays in the combobox; Enter opens the result; Esc closes the results before the phone drawer.

From rc.2-r13-g2, Enter on the already-open Chat session focuses its composer, phone navigation closes the drawer, and keyboard Clear search returns to Search sessions. From rc.2-r14, Gallery/Studio focus instead goes through the active View owner to its first visible enabled action, or its container if no action exists; the Search toggle has a painted inset focus ring. These fixes do not imply that every owner has upgraded. In r14 Studio, the initial action is the Gallery sub-tab; pressing Enter again can switch to Gallery.

From rc.2-r12, the 280 px desktop panel gives session titles 204 px; the 390 px phone drawer gives 266 px. Hover/focus reveals the 44 px More target without shrinking that title allocation.

Discover and settings

Discover reads the audited local catalog, with four audited cards and friendly Codex/Claude names. It is not a live remote plugin marketplace. An arbitrary package name, version, or executable path still requires operator audit; do not bypass the allowlist to obtain a card.

Discover search wraps on narrow screens. For Models phone behavior, Subscription Provider Sign-in owns the historical 2026-10-29 pxl rc.2-r14 observation at 390 × 844 and its explicit exclusions; this page makes no blanket General/Models phone-fit claim. Vibe’s on/off choice controls the audited presets; it is not permission to overwrite another saved model choice.

See Keyboard Shortcuts for the panel, new-session, and Settings chords, and Studio for the image workbench’s own focus and queue controls.
